Here at Pulse, we figured it was high time we looked up from our (amazing) media plans, to look to the outside world and get head scratching on how we could make a difference in some way. Senior Account Exec, Lauren, made it her mission to get the ball rolling and now we’re happy to announce our CSR initiative is well and truly snowballing – good job Lauren!
This week, we had the pleasure of meeting with James and Charlotte from the Sick Children’s Trust who came down to the Pulse offices to tell us all about the great work they do for families who are going through the toughest times of their lives.
The Sick Children’s Trust provides ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, for families with sick children in hospital, completely free. Their houses have proven to be a real lifeline for these families and the charity operates in the firm belief that keeping families together significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children.
So we got our heads together to talk about how Pulse can raise some cash and help out this wonderful cause. The team here are excited to start baking, running and rowing dragon boats to raise as much as possible as well as utilising our position in the media industry to leverage the Sick Children’s Trust as much as possible. We’re also implementing our first ever employee volunteer day scheme where Pulse staff members can take a working day to go and help out with cooking, cleaning and supporting the Sick Children’s Trust events.
We can’t wait to get started and warmly welcome the partnership with the Sick Children’s Trust.

When a child is injured in an accident or diagnosed with a serious illness, life for the whole family is thrown into turmoil. That’s where The Sick Children’s Trust steps in – our ‘Homes from Home’ keep families together and allow them to stay just minutes from their sick child’s bedside. Its costs us £28 to support a family for one night, and the money raised by our partnership with Pulse will go directly towards helping families during an incredibly difficult time.
