Chris Bagnall, CEO and Founder

As the founder of Transmission, Chris provides the vision and leadership for the agency at a global level. His direction and management have helped the agency consistently grow and become the fastest-growing B2B agency in the market.

With over 20 years of international B2B marketing agency and client-side experience throughout his career, Chris has helped hundreds of IT companies transform their businesses across the entire end-to-end marketing spectrum.

Prior to starting Transmission, he built the European arm of one of the largest B2B tech focussed media agencies in the world. Chris is an avid golfer, keen on his fitness, a lover of cars and Liverpool FC, and a father to two crazy gorgeous daughters.

John Farrell, Non-Executive Chairman

John serves as a Non-Executive Director / Chairman for several advertising, media, marketing services businesses.

Previously, John was President and CEO of D’ Arcy Worldwide, one of the top ten global advertising and communication networks. He was President of the IMP (now ‘Arc’) European Network of Direct and Promotional Marketing Businesses. Most recently John was the Executive responsible for all of the Publicis Groupe Worldwide Specialised Agencies and Marketing Services (SAMS) with effect from the beginning of 2003.

John is the current Master of the Worshipful Company of Marketors, an Honorary President of the Institute of Sales Promotion, and a Founder Member of the Direct Marketing Association of Great Britain. He has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Nottingham Trent University, where he is now Visiting Professor of Marketing.

Tymon Broadhead, CFO

Tymon provides financial and commercial leadership and direction across the business.  After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tymon spent 10 years in publicly owned international marketing services companies covering advertising, events, public relations, and healthcare communications. In 2011 he joined a leading privately-owned global digital communications network as Global CFO and helped it navigate through a period of rapid growth and acquisition.

Tymon is married with two daughters. He is a Governor at a local secondary school and enjoys golf and swimming.

Nicola Doyle, Executive Director

Nicky has worked in agencies for over 20 years. From start-ups to challenger creative agencies, and global full-service networks. Nicky has supported the building of agency infrastructures to offer clients the best and most positive experience of working with them.   

She has worked across many business management disciplines including finance, HR, operations, and legal. Nicky is a planner. A forward thinker who is frequently taking the ‘now’ and looking into the ‘next’ stages before we get there. Having been through the emotions of helping build Transmission from a start-up, and navigating the difficulties associated with fast growth, she now advises on how we continue to build the agency, whilst focusing on how our culture and teams can be stronger and more rewarding for all.

Ricky Abbott, President, Americas

Ricky has been with the business since the start and now runs our North America region. With over 20 years’ experience in B2B marketing across both EMEA and North America, he has helped clients transform their sales and marketing operations through innovative, customer first, emotive programs designed to ultimately drive growth.  

When not working, Ricky loves to keep fit, loves a good quiz and for his sins is a staunch Arsenal fan.

Alex Wares, Managing Director, EMEA

Alex is responsible for driving growth while aligning teams and services to deliver truly unified B2B marketing services to clients. Dedicated to innovation and demand creation, he believes in shaping a unique agency culture through mentoring and empowering the leaders of the future. A twenty-year industry veteran, Alex has helped hundreds of clients succeed and has previously built and exited digital agencies.

Alex is a white collar Muay Thai fighter as well as father of two.

John Massey, Managing Director, APJ

A highly driven and award-winning business leader who has scaled and delivered increased profitability for organisations throughout Asia Pacific and the UK.

Extremely client focused, as evidenced by his long-standing partnerships and business understanding, leading to improved commercial relationships and a rewarding referral base.

Innovative thinker demonstrated by a history of new service developments including technology platforms, social integration, revenue marketing, content creation/marketing, and consulting.

Paul Cowin, EVP Global Activation & Technology

Paul heads up activation at Transmission, helping connect services for clients around media, marketing, sales, analytics, and technology. An international B2B veteran, Paul started his career in media planning, eventually leading the European media function for what is now the B2B arm of Dentsu. Paul has been part of the digital media and marketing industry from the start and brings over 20 years of knowledge in digital activation, with an expertise in brand to demand, martech, data and latterly digital experience. Paul joined Transmission in 2016 having spent 2 years running marketing and product development for MarTech vendor Convertr.

Paul spends his time away from agency life with his family including three lively boys. He particularly enjoys football, cooking, DIY and Guinness.

Mark McCabe, Finance Director

As a Chartered Accountant, Mark McCabe is the Global Finance Director for Transmission, managing the financial transactions across company divisions worldwide. With more than 18 years of experience in advertising and media accounting, including 10 years at WPP and positions in New York and San Francisco, Mark’s experience with complex cross-border financing is valuable for a leading B2B marketing company. At Transmission, Mark has established a team and methods for ensuring timely, accurate, and systematic tracking and reporting, which is beneficial to the agency and our clients.

Mark is adamant in stating: “Finance can be the lifeblood for ensuring dynamic success for our clients as well as for Transmission.”

In his free time, Mark can be found passionately supporting Leinster and Irish rugby from anywhere in the world, combining his love for travel and rugby.
