Kirsten Cox

Kirsten Cox is the Vice President of Marketing for VMware in EMEA. In this role, she is responsible for implementing marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption of cloud and business mobility solutions, to help organisations succeed in the new digital economy. Prior to this role Kirsten led VMware’s customer marketing services team in EMEA, creating customer-led marketing activities to advocate and demonstrate the value of successful digital transformation through a software-defined approach to business and IT. She is an industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience in business to business environments with international blue chip IT companies. Prior to joining VMware in September 2013, Kirsten spent nine years at CA Technologies where she was VP, EMEA Marketing. She has also held positions at one of the biggest business intelligence vendors, Business Objects, as part of its product marketing organisation, developing marketing campaigns, briefing analysts and press, and evangelising about the company and its solutions, both internally and externally. Kirsten began her career on a graduate programme with ERP vendor JBA where she learnt about all aspects of IT businesses including, sales, pre and post sales consultancy and marketing.  She was subsequently promoted to a worldwide position of product marketing for the company’s business intelligence solution suite.

Louis Fernandes

Louis is a charismatic business leader with extensive experience leading marketing departments, demand generation and sales teams at cloud software and IT services vendors including Acxiom, SAP, SAS, HPE and Basware. Louis is passionate about creating seismic shifts in business performance through the re-imagining, modernisation and transformation of business processes particularly across sales and marketing functions. Louis is a regular speaker at industry events and guest lecturer at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has been a judge in the B2B Marketing Awards since 2016.

Dr Steve Garnett

Steve Garnett has had one of the most distinguished careers of any European executive in the software industry. He has been a member of the executive management team of three software startups that have each turned into some of the most successful software companies in history. Steve started his career joining Oracle Corporation and held various technical and sales positions including Director of UK Sales, Vice President European Marketing & Alliances and was the youngest member of the European management team. He was at Oracle Corporation for 12 years as the company grew to become the world’s 2nd largest software company. Steve joined Siebel Systems in 1996 as Vice President of Europe and a member of the founder’s circle. In 2003 Steve joined his former Oracle executive colleague Marc Benioff to head Europe operations and be part of the executive team at Salesforce.com and he helped take Salesforce.com public in 2004. Steve retired from his position as Chairman EMEA at Salesforce.com in January 2016. A Daily Telegraph survey named him one of the 50 most influential Britons in technology. Steve was Chairman and lead investor in Fairsail, a cloud software HCM company, which was sold to the Sage Group in March 2017. He now manages his own portfolio of investments in a variety of high growth software and service companies.
